The Journal of Sports Research and Innovation (JSRI) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal that promotes, develops, and disseminates innovative scientific research in the fields of sport and physical activity. Our mission is to support interdisciplinary research initiatives and implement novel solutions focused on areas related to sport and the overall well-being of society.
Scope
We publish original research articles, review papers, meta-analyses, short communications, case studies, methodological reports, conceptual essays, book reviews, and conference reports in the following areas:
- Sport science and training
- Sports medicine and rehabilitation
- Nutrition and supplementation in sport
- Psychology, pedagogy, and sociology of sport
- Technologies and innovations applied in sport and recreation
- Sport management and sport economics
- Physical activity in public health
We accept research based on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, encompassing all levels of advancement—from elite sport to recreational activity.
Target Audience
The journal is addressed to researchers, coaches, healthcare professionals, sport technology specialists, policymakers, and students interested in new discoveries and applications in sport sciences.
Open Access Policy
JSRI provides full open access to all content—articles may be read, copied, and distributed without restriction, provided proper attribution is given to the authors. No article processing charges (APCs) are required from authors.
Articles are published under the Creative Commons license (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Peer Review Process and Ethical Standards
All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review conducted by at least two independent experts and are checked for plagiarism. The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines of COPE, ICMJE, and WAME.
Publication Frequency and Language
JSRI publishes articles on a continuous basis online. Manuscripts are accepted exclusively in English.
Visibility and Archiving
JSRI content is indexed and archived in Index Copernicus, ResearchGate, and the repository of the Scientific Association of Sport Researchers. We continuously aim to expand our reach through applications to leading databases (e.g., Scopus, DOAJ, Web of Science).
