Digital Preservation Policy
The Journal of Sports Research and Innovation (JSRI) is committed to ensuring the long-term availability and preservation of all published scholarly content.
Preservation Strategy
JSRI preserves all published articles and article metadata through regular digital preservation procedures. All published articles remain freely available on the journal website, and archived copies are maintained to ensure continued access in the event that the journal or publisher ceases operation.
Preservation Methods
- Internet Archive (Wayback Machine) — All article pages and PDF files are regularly deposited in the Internet Archive to ensure independent, publicly accessible copies exist outside the journal’s own infrastructure.
- National Library of Poland (Biblioteka Narodowa) — The journal is registered with the National Library of Poland for legal deposit purposes.
- Local backups — The publisher maintains regular local and off-site backups of all published PDF files, HTML article pages, and associated metadata.
Continuity of Access
In the event that the journal or publisher ceases operation, the preserved copies in the Internet Archive and the National Library of Poland will ensure that all published research remains freely and permanently accessible to the scholarly community.
Future Developments
JSRI is exploring participation in additional long-term preservation services, such as LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, Portico, or the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), to further strengthen its digital preservation infrastructure.
