Licensing Terms

The Journal of Sports Research and Innovation (JSRI) publishes all articles under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

This license allows anyone to share (copy and redistribute in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use), under the following conditions:

  • Attribution (BY): Proper credit must be given to the original author(s), article title, journal (Journal of Sports Research and Innovation), year of publication, and DOI.
  • ShareAlike (SA): If users remix, transform, or build upon the material, they must distribute their contributions under the same license (CC BY-SA 4.0).

Rights of Authors and Users

  • Authors retain full copyright of their work.
  • Authors grant the publisher a non-exclusive license to publish, archive, and disseminate the article as the version of record.
  • Users may freely reuse and adapt the content, provided that attribution is given and derivative works are licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.
  • Authors retain copyright and full publishing rights without restrictions. Licensing information is available on the journal’s website and in each article

Metadata and Third-Party Content

  • Article metadata are released under the CC0 1.0 Universal License, ensuring maximum visibility, interoperability, and indexing in databases.
  • Any third-party content (e.g., figures, images, or data) not covered by CC BY-SA 4.0 must be clearly marked with the applicable license. Users must obtain permission from the copyright holder if required.

Transparency and Access

  • Licensing information and the link to the full CC BY-SA 4.0 license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) are displayed:
    • on the journal’s website,
    • on the first page of each article PDF,
    • and in the HTML version of each article.

JSRI fully complies with DOAJ best practice guidelines for open access, transparency, and content reuse.
